The Railroad House Historical Association
The Railroad House Historical Association conducts public tours of historic sites and tours of the historic Railroad House for school children and other interested parties. It maintains the Railroad House Museum to conserve artifacts and documents significant to the history of Sanford and Lee County, and opens the Museum to the public on most Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Its historical publications include "History and Architecture of Lee County", "Sanford and Lee County" and "Men of Endor", the culmination of years of work to document and preserve Lee County's rich cultural heritage.

The Association's activities are directed by a volunteer board of directors, and the museum curator, assistant curator and docents are volunteers as well. The organization is supported financially by membership dues and charitable contributions as well as grants. Annual membership dues of $25.00/family are tax-deductible under Section 501(c)(3).
